Hi I’m Lesley…
… the founder and illustrator at Digital Graphique. I’m originally from Scotland but now call Australia home. I live in the Redlands area of Australia with my Aussie husband and two cats.
I cried the day I was accepted into Glasgow School of Art and specialised in printed textiles. I followed that up by training to become an art teacher which I did for 10 years in Scotland, then 10 years in Australia.
Fast forwarding to the present. I now teach extra-curricular art to children in my home studio and do my own artwork and illustrations.
i simply love to create
Offering you all things digital
IT’S TAKEN ME A WHILE BUT i’VE NOW GONE almost COMPLETELY DIGITAL WHICH INCLUDES MY ARTWORK AND MY PLANNING.
I do all of my illustrations now in various apps and software including Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, Fresco and the Affinity Suite.
I finally ditched my paper planners (eek) to digital using Goodnotes.
Why? Well, it’s a very convenient and portable way of working. I was lucky enough to have the funds to purchase an IPad Pro and Apple pencil after being totally envious of other artists who had been using that set up for years.
That investment really changed my life as an artist and journal lover. I now carry my Ipad pro around with me rather than a bulky paper planner and I can draw and paint in any room in my house without the mess!
However, I do still love to write with an actual pen and draw and paint with traditional art media. I still do that and will continue to embrace both.
